Boeing says the Asia-Pacific region will become the world’s biggest aviation market in the next 20 years with more than 40% of airline traffic beginning, ending or occurring within its countries including Australia and New Zealand.  Commercial Airplanes vice-president Randy Tinseth said the region currently accounted for 8300 flights and 1.2 million passengers a day and travel was expected to increase by 6.5% annually.  The Asia-Pacific fleet would almost triple to 11,000 aircraft to meet demand, Tinseth said.
